The Zora Index (ZINDEX) is a dynamic token basket that tracks a curated selection of high-signal creator and cultural assets on Zora. The index is governed by holders of CreatorDAO’s $CREATOR token. The basket is designed to evolve over time, reflecting changes in creator activity, cultural momentum, and onchain engagement across Zora, while maintaining a focus on assets viewed as foundational within the ecosystem.
Eligibility criteria
The initial index filters for established, high conviction creators and projects who have traded on Zora for at least 90 days, generated over $500,000 in total volume, strong recent activity ($100,000 in the last 30 days and $5,000 in the last 7 days), hold an onchain rank of 50 or better, and maintain a minimum audience of 1,500 followers on Twitter or Farcaster.
We also allow for clear outliers: if a coin is the number one asset on Zora, it may be included regardless of whether it meets every threshold, since leaders of that size are impossible to ignore.
Each asset’s weight in the portfolio is determined using a square root function of the asset’s market cap relative to the total market cap of all coins in the basket.
For any future additions to the index, the same criteria will guide consideration (though they may evolve as the market grows) with final inclusion determined by a DAO vote.
The index is rebalanced every two weeks.
